Is Toprol Safe To Take Prior To Partial Mastectomy?

I started toprol today, to slow down my heart rate, my cardiologist said--my heart sometimes beats too fast, though not usually. My surgery for partial mastectomy is two days away. Should I NOT take the torprol the morning just before the surgery and start it again the day after? One website suggests that, but others don t seem to agree--though they may not be discussing my kind of case.

Hello,

I think you can continue to take Toprol, as usual, every day even the day of mastectomy.
It is needed during these periods in order to go in surgery in optimal state and calm.
