I AM 55 YEAR OLD WOMAN WITH WITH HEAVY BLEEDING DURING MENSTRUAL PERIODS EXTENDING 10 TO 15 DAYS.ALL THE CLINICAL TESTS HAVE BEEN DONE LIKE PAP SMEAR AND CA 125.ALL TESTS ARE NORMAL.I HAVE TRIED PAUSE 500 DURING MY LAST PERIODS BUT IT DID NOT WORK .I HAVE TAKEN TRAPIC MF TODAY ON MY SECOND DAY OF PERIODS AND WITHIN ONE HOUR THE BLEEDING HAS REDUCED.CAN I SAFELY CONTINUE IT FOR THREE DAYS
Hello dear I understand your concern Excessive bleeding for the 10-15 days in your age group is not normal. It could be due to the endometrial hyperplasia/thickness, endometrial cancer, polyp. I would suggest to consul the gynecologist and undergo USG scan and endometrial biopsy to rule out the causes.
Trapic is very effective in reduce the blood but it will not cure the exact cause. You can take it for the 3 days. Other treatment like progesterone pill, provera shot. If drug will not responds then D & C should used to reduce the bleeding. Hope this may help you
