Is Trimethbenzamide Safe To Be Taken While On Apomorphine For Parkinson S Disease?

I am in a trial for use of a thin film of apomorphine that is placed under the tongue and is intended to be an alternative to the injectable form of apomorphine for rescue treatment of Parkinson s disease. I am supposed to take Trimethbenzamide Hydrochloride. Can these drugs be taken together

Hello,
Yes, trimethbenzamide hydrochloride can be taken with apomorphine. There are no major drug interactions with these two agents. On the other hand trimethbenzamide reduces the emetic (vomiting) side effect of apomorphine. Apomorphine cause this side effects in nearly 1/3rd of the patients.
