Is Tylenol Advisable For Persistent Headache?

18 yr old daughter has a severe headche that started yesterday...she uses no drugs nor drinks or smokes...not obese... very healthy..5 2 110 lbs....headache in the base of her skull...gave her 2 tylenol yesterday and ice pack today...no injuries to the head... if headache persists i will take her the emergency room for head X-rays..not near her period so probably not hormone related.. it is interrupting her nightly sleep...

Hi,
You can give Tylenol (acetaminophen) for persistent headache in your daughter. Just make sure that the daily dose does not exceed 4grams at any cost and 3grams if the formulation is extended release.
