Is Vaseline Safe For Lubrication Of The Anus?

Is it safe to put Vaseline inside your anus? I have had uncomfortable sensations inside. I have tried cleaning the area better, that did not work and if anything it just hurts more when I scrub. I tried applying Vaseline around it for a few days to see if it would heal but it still feels like there is a tear or sore inside.

Hi and welcome to HCM,
If you think there is a tear or a fissure inside your anus, then applying vaseline will not help,even though it is safe.
I suggest applying proctosedyl ointment, and you will get relief.
If not better see a general surgeon.
