Is Ventolin And Prednisolone Safe To Be Given To An Infant For Bronchial Infection?

Hell, my 8 month son is currently suffering from bronchial infection. Pediatrician has recommended Ventinol, Nuelin and Prednisolone. On googling I found that Prednisolone is a steroid. Doctor has advised 4 mlof it to be given twice a day for 7 days. Is this ok? Seems high dose for an infant??
