Is Verapamil SR Effective In The Treatment Of SVT?

My doctor prescribed Verapamil SR for me to treat supraventricular tachycardia (SVT). Is this a common use for this drug? I am currently taking 20 mg once a day, but I am still experiencing symptoms such as racing heartbeat. How high of a dose can be prescribed for this drug?

Your dose looks less. you can consult your doctor and increase dose. it can be given upto 240 mg per day
