Is Vyvanse Advisable For Binge Eating Disorder?

My counselor has recommend that I take Vyvanse for binge eating disorder, since all the behavior modifications I have tried have been unsuccessful. However, she doesn t have the ability to prescribe. Can I get a prescription through your service? Thanks.

Yes, it may be advisable for binge eating disorder.
Vyvanse (Dexamphetamine) is a potent central nervous system (CNS) stimulant which is thought to work by restoring the balance of certain natural chemicals (neurotransmitters) in the brain.
Basically it is found to be useful in the treatment of Attention Deficit Disorder with Hyperactivity and Narcolepsy (a sleep disorder that causes excessive daytime sleepiness & sudden attacks of sleep)
Beside, it may also help to reduce the number of binge eating days so it may be used to treat binge eating disorder.
This medication is not recommended for use for weight loss due to the risk of serious side effects.
Since this medication can be habit-forming. Do not take a larger dose, take it more often, or take it for a longer time than prescribed by your doctor or psychiatrist. As a policy matter the prescription of this medication can not be sent through this health care service.
