Is Waltuz-DX Advisable For An Infant With Severe Cough?
My baby is 10 months old and had fever and chest congestion. Doctor prescribed Babygesic for fever, Maxtra and Azee 100 drops for chest congestion. We ve given these medicines for prescribed three days. Now baby has no fever but has cough. So doctor now prescribed Waltuz-Dx for cough. Is this medicine safe for my baby? Or else to continue with Maxtra?

Understanding your concern. As per your query your infant have symptoms of persistent which is due to severe upper respiratory tract infection. It seems due to poor immunity of body you are highly susceptible and prone to infections. The infection is probably a strep throat. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to start with course of antibiotics and anti-inflammatory drugs. . Waltuz-DX is advisable for condition of your child. For now do warm saline rinses , take rest. Avoid taking cold beverages. You should take mast cell stabilizers to prevent from infection. I would suggest you to consult pediatrician without any delay . Doctor may order blood test , throat swab test. You should get an x ray of the chest. Doctor may prescribe antibiotics amoxicillin at least for 10 days along with mucolytic agents. Go for complete blood count and platelet count to rule out any hidden systemic pathology. You should avoid hot, sharp and spicy foods. .
