Is Xarelto Advisable While Suffering With Severe Fatigue Post A Stroke?

On xarelto since October 1,2017. Had a small left stroke due to plaque in carotid artery. I am having bad side effects, at first very tired, then exhausted, now sleeping eighteen hours a day!!!! Awake for meals and bathroom, but too sleepy for anything else! Also have severe lower back pain if I stand in place for just a few minutes. Doctor tried pradaxa, eloquis and I had bad heartburn. Insists I stay on xarelto. I feel like l will lose all consciousness in a few weeks!

I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Xarelto, if needed is a very important drug. And to be honest , the symptoms you are suffering from do not occur from Xarelto. Especially to the level as you said. So, I would advise you should more focus on other possible causes for your symptoms. There are a lot of causes like fibromylgia, chronic fatigue syndrome, thyroid problems, other endocrine , anemia and psychiatric diseases. The list is not complete ,but I wont say this is because of the drug, so other causes should be searched.
