Is A Tetanus Shot Recommended For A Dog Bite?

I have 2 small punch wounds from a dog bite to my calf. I was wearing blue jeans and don t see where his teeth went through the jeans but I felt him bite and there is a two little round bloody spots where the teeth punctured my skin. Do I need a tetanus shot? If so, how long do I have to get it?
