Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I was told two to three years ago that I should have a bladder sling as stress test showed decreased ability to hold urine. My sisters have had it done with different types and outcome. My younger said she was in pain for a year afterwards and the other, a nurse, had it attached to her spine. Not sure how that will work in the long run. Am trying to find which one is long-lasting without pain.
Bladder sling surgery is a common procedure done for stress incontinence or urgency. It’s a relatively simple procedure and side effects and complications are same as that of any procedure. You can take analgesics like Tramdol for better pain relief. Consult a urologist and get evaluated.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain
