Is A Blood Blister On The Inner Thigh A Matter Of Concern?

I have a bump on my inner thigh. Looked like a single piece of bubble wrap. I peeled the top off and it bled all night into the next mourning. It now looks like a blood blister, but has yellow puss coming out. Should I seek an antibiotic or just warm compress and let heal? Should I be concerned?

Hi,

It could be a furuncle or Folliculitis (Bacterial infection of skin). As you have mentioned, you could apply an antibiotic ointment for a week. If your blister does not improve after a week, you should consult your Dermatologist for further management.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
