Is A Blood Pressure Of 102/50 Reason To Be Concerned?
My husband is 63.He has cad.His blood pressure has been low but for the last few days he has gotton dizzy a few times,I checked his pressure last night it was 102/50 tonight it was 102/47.he has been doing stuff staying busy today,he never feels good, what should I do
Yes, low blood pressure in CAD patients may be susceptible to silent ischaemia. The heart may not be able to circulate enough blood to meet the body's needs. You are suggested to get your husband clinically examined by a Cardiologist or your treating doctor. He may need medicines and urgent medical support. In the mean time, help him stay well hydrated and active. But do not let him get stressed up. Give him warm beverage and soups between meals. He should take home made balanced food with eggs, and liver. Beans, lentils, citrus fruits, leafy greens, etc are helpful.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
