Is A Cyst On The Sinus The Cause For Sensitivity To Smells?

Several years ago, I started smelling exhaust that wasn t there. I don t anymore, but now exhaust, coffee, and several other things smell like bad Chinese food. Or burnt garlic. I had a CT scan that showed a cyst on my left sinus. Could that be causing the change in my smelling?

Hi.

Yes, it is indeed possible. But I would also recommend a check on your hormone levels, just because if you are female (which I don't know because you failed to mention your sex), a hormonal fluctuation can also cause increased sensitivity to smells.

Best wishes.
