Hallow Dear,

When you see some spotting around the day of expected menses, it is mostly the starting of menses. You may start your menses within few days.

Else, it could be pregnancy. In occasional cases, some women have some amount of bleeding around the expected days of menses.

You have following options to sort out the matter:

1. Perform pregnancy test on overnight first morning urine sample after 4 days more; earlier the test may report false negative results.

2. Alternatively, you may opt for Beta hCG test on your blood any day.

If the tests report that you are not pregnant, just wait expectantly for your menses. If you do not get menses for another 8 days even not being pregnant, you may take some progesterone preparation like Deviry for 5 days; then within 4-7 days you should get withdrawal bleeding.

I hope this helps you.
