Is A Dosage Of 8000mg Of Vitamin D Per Day Advisable?

I had cancer of the pancreas and left kidney both were primaries and pancreas and half left kidney and spleen were removed. This has now left me a diabetic which I am having difficulty with. I saw me Endocronologist yesterday and he advised that my vitamin D levels were very low and I should be taking 8,000mg per day. Is this too much??

HI
Well come to HCM
I really appreciate your concern, if the main concern of yours is sugar level then taking vitamin D wont do anything, second vitamin D has got very little role or no role as long as your medical history are concern, more over the dose of vitamin D is very high, hope this information helps, take care and have a nice day.
