Is A Hepatitis Test Required When Diagnosed With Secondary Liver Cancer?

Someone I know had secondary liver cancer. After I gave them an insulin shot the needle poked my finger. They were never diagnosed with hepatitis but cancer was found at stage 4 so their main focus was just to keep her comfortable ( I don t think they did any extra tests). Should I have tests done to check for hepatitis? This happened about 3 months ago.

Metastatic liver cancer may occur on account of many primary cancers. I think, there is not any urgent need to go for hepatitis serology. However liver function tests may be carried out. If there are chances of cross infection, hepatitis B and C may be ruled out.
