Is A Hospital Shift Possible For A Person With Crushed Leg Bones?

My husband is in Lake Regional Hospital and I want him transferred to Springfield Mercy. I'm not pleased with his care or the cleaniness of the hospital. Can he be moved by ambulance from that hospital to Springfield and will our insurance cover that. I'm completely torn up with all this. He had a fall that broke and crushed the bones in the right leg from his knee to the ankle. They want to re-operate on it this Monday and I really want him in Springfield where I know the Doctors are great.
