Hello,

She might be having severe arthritis of the knee and knee replacement will be the treatment of choice. It is a costly procedure because the prosthesis (artificial knee joint) might cause around one lakh and the procedure all together might cost around two lakh. If you are opting for insurance scheme, entire procedure will be covered.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
