Is A Large Bump And Bruising On Forehead Of A Toddler After Being Hit A Cause For Concern?

Hi, My 18th month boy was just running in our hallway and stumbled and hit is forehead on our door frame. It bruised instantly...I mean in less than a minute after the incident. He has a bump that formed instantly as well...a rather large bump. What should I do?! It is his bedtime. Can he go to sleep and be fine?!

Thank you for following up.If it is very painful you can give Calpol(paracetamol)-10mg/kg/dose like as analgetic. Put ice on the head for5-20 min. Apply small amount of Trombophob 3 times, rubber slightly with massage during 10 days. It should be resolve after 10-14 days. If it will not disappear you should consult neirosurgeon for punction of this haematoma.
Take care
