Is A Large Knot On Forehead After Injury A Cause For Concern?

I hit my forehead over a week ago on a beveled glass table. A large knot appeared at my hair line and my glassed bruised my nostril on the right side. I noticed on last Monday my speech seemed slurred, and I had a headache for a week. The knot has gone away, however I still feel slight soreness to the area, very light headache behind the right eye. Should I be concerned?

Hello,

I can understand your concern. If it was just a minor bruise or concussion due to trauma, the symptoms should have decreased in intensity or disappeared as the days pass.

As the symptoms are worsening like developing headache and slurred speech, I would advise you to visit a physician for the examination of the injured area and further investigations if needed. Treatment can be decided based on the test results.

I hope this information helps you. Thank you for choosing HealthcareMagic. I wish you feel better soon!

Best,
Dr. Viraj Shah
