Is A Leg Cramp In The Upper Left Thigh A Serious Concern?

I ve been having a leg cramp in my upper left thigh, and everywhere I read about leg cramps it says they re closely tied to blood clots. I don t have any swelling, redness or tenderness to the touch. It gets tight, especially at night when I m laying down. Should I be concerned, or just icing?

Just don't keep your body electrolyte hungry for long periods. What you are having are just cramps because the body has lost much salt during the day. Keep some oral rehydration solution sachets handy the next time . Or else just drink any fruit juice with a pinch of salt.
You are alright and fine.
Blood clots cause lower leg pain that's quite severe pain and radiates up towards hip. Advanced age and aging are two risk factors as is smoking tobacco.
