Is A Lump Near The Scar On Upper Lip Post A Stitch Normal?

I got hit in the mouth with a field hockey ball, causing my upper lip to split on the left side. I got stitches in and outside of my mouth and they ve been removed by the plastic surgeon. It s been a few days and there s a lump by the scar. Will this lump go away in a week or so or should I go back and see a doctor?

Thanks for your query, I have gone through your query.
The lump in the lip following surgery is common, because the wound heals by fibrosis. Since you have got a surgery for the previous scar it should not result in scar again. So consult the plastic surgeon and get it evaluated.
I hope I have answered your query, take care.
