Is A Mass On Adrenal Gland A Cause For Concern?
what purpose does the adrenal gland perform? my husband had bladder cancer, cured so far, now has to have part of colon removed before turns into cancer. Years ago a doctor told him he has a mass on his adrenal gland but nothing more was done with that. his age 67

Adrenal mass could be arising from different layers of adrenal gland. it could be from adrenal cortex or adrenal medulla. cortex produces aldosterone, cortisol and adrenal androgens. While medulla produces epinephrine. We need more history/ clinical features to understand the mass and to proceed further
