Is A Mildly Dilated Right Renal Pelvis In A Cervical Cancer Patient A Cause For Concern?

I recenlty had a renal US and it says my right renal pelvis is mildly dilated. I ve had a history of cervical cancer and had a full hysterectomy, but have also had endometriosis all my life. I ve had microscopic blood in the urine so that s why they started with this test. Should I be worried? My follow up visit is next week.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Mild dilation is expected following surgery. Blood in urine may be due to endometriosis. If the other findings in the scan are normal, no need to worry.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Achira Dilanka
