Is A Nagging Ache On Left Side Near Hip And Navel Related To Ovarian Cyst?

I have a nagging ache down my left side. On touching my side down towards my hip it s very tender at times. Also moving in towards my naval if I press I can feel a tender area. I am aware that I have an ovarian cyst so wondering if this is aggravated. I am still breastfeeding my 20 month old son. No other symptoms I.e diarrhoea, nausea. Just a lingering discomfort comparable to a cramp. Thanks

Hi,

Ovarian cyst when undergoes torsion, you will get pain. This may be due to some intestinal infection in view of diarrhea. Get a direct check up.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. B. Radhakrishnan. Nair, OBGYN
