Is A Numb Feeling On My Vagina Normal During Pregnancy?
I am 29 weeks pregnant and am experiencing a numb tingling feeling around and on my lady parts? Is that normal? What is the cause? I ve had two previous pregnancies and never had this happen before. It definitely is something new and strange. Also my ob informed me that I have a low platlet count? Could the two be related?
Thank you for the question and thank you for visiting our site.
This is probably normal and related to engorgement (swelling) of the vessels around the vaginal opening. This could certainly lead to numbness and tingling. It is not a sign of any complication in pregnancy. Platelet counts can be low in pregnancy for normal reasons and it is hard to give you an answer about this part of the question without a number for the platelets. Regardless, what you are describing is of low concern but you should also discuss this with your OB Provider.
I hope that this helps and good luck!
