Is A Painful Bump On The Right Wrist A Concern?

Hello I bumped my right wrist where the palm meets the wrist, directly under the thumb area ,but down where it meets. I didn t know what happened because with in minutes I had pain of course and I looked down and there s a huge greenish purple dark bump size of a nickel. How do I care for something of this nature? I m assuming I broke a blood vessel. I never have done this before. Please help

Hello,

It is likely with trauma in that area that some superficial vein might get hurt and cause a lump and bruise. I would say you will need to apply cold compresses locally and just keep it from being hurt again.
If it does not improve in 4-5 days or you notice any worsening, you will need to see your doctor.
