Hi, I understand you are worried about your chronic cough ( cough more than 8 weeks). Chronic cough associated with fatigue warrants complete history taking and work up. Since I'm not sure about your age, geographical area, occupational history, and social history, i would like to give you an overview.
It could be caused by a discharge from the back of your throat (what we call post-nasal drip), it could be some chronic infection such as tuberculosis/ fungal infection), or side effect of a drug. So you should take this seriously to rule out serious causes.
I would advice you consult your physician, give a detailed medical history, and undergo complete physical exam.
I hope I have answered your question. If you have any more concerns, you can always follow-up.

Hi
Thanks for posting your query on HCM
Chronic cough for over 6 month is a cause for concern. It may signal an underlying lung illness that should be investigated and treated. Staying lunger without investigate will not be good and your condition may get worse after. Possible causes may include: Chronic bronchitis, Infections, Gastroesophageal reflux disease, Asthma, lung mass....
I will suggest you see the Doctor for examination and investigation.A chest X ray and a sputum exam may be needed for initial evaluation.Your Doctor will judge the need for other tests like a chest CT scan and lung function tests. If need be, the opinion of a lung Doctor(pneumologist) may be requested.
Hope this will help
Wish you good health
