Is A Persistent Lesion On The Left Wrist A Symptom Of Ringworm Infection?

I have had a lesion on the skin of my left wrist for approximately 6 months. It started small and has grown but some days looks better as if it s healing, then other days (like today s picture I will attach) seems much larger and worse. It will itch but not all the time. Seems to get worse if I wear a watch as it will rub on it. My girlfriend is a veterinarian and at first thought it might be ringworm as we do have a guinea pig that I know can be a carrier. But it s been going on for so long we aren t sure if that s the case any longer.

Hello,

As per your history, it may be contact dermatitis or ringworm.

for that you can apply ointment containing hydrocortisone and clotrimazole.

You can take tab. loratidine. Avoid scratching.

Alternately you can use moisturizing cream or aloe vera gel.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
