Is A Pneumonia Suffering Person Contagious?

About 2 days ago I had a chest x-ray. I have been sick with what the doctor thought was the flu. This had lasted about 6 weeks. The chest x ray confirmed pneumonia. For about 3 days I have been taking Levofloxcin 750 mg 1 time per day Can you tell me if I am probably contagious

Pneumonia is an infectious disease, usually caused by bacteria. The antibiotic starts its action within 24-48 hours since the first dose, but I suggest you not to be in contact for at least 5 days with people with low immunitary defense (such as kids, older people, people with cancer or someone in immunosuppressive therapy).
