Is A Rash With Raised Bumps On My Infant S Cheek And Neck Normal During A Cold?

My son is 7 months old and has had a cold (with runny nose, sneezing and a cough) for the past 4 days. We noticed he had a slight fever as of yesterday but assumed it was from his warm pjs as he was only very slightly warmer than usual. Today we noticed a rash with raised bumps on his cheek and neck. They aren’t pink or red but they are raised on his skin and you can feel the bumps. Is this normal for a cold or should we take him in to see his provider?
