Is A Report Mentioning That One Ovary Demonstrates Homogeneous Hypo To Mildly Hyperechoic Echotexture And One Is With A Peripheral Thick Echogenic Border A Concerning Find?

My daughter had an Ultra Sound and two structures showed on her right ovary on the report. Can you explain what this means? one demonstrating homogeneous hypo to mildly hyperechoic echotexture and one with peripheral a thick echogenic border. Should we be concerned about these findings? She has had continual pain in her right lower abdomen, at times extreme. This test was done in the emergency room last night. I am concerned but don t want to overreact.

Your daughter can have some cyst formation or tumor over ovarian tissue. According to the cause specific treatment given. Your daughter can have lower abdominal pain due to this swelling over ovary. Kindly attach your report so that I can check it and can guide you further.
