Is A Ruptured Blood Vessel Under The Tongue While Having SLE A Concern?
I am a 72 year old female with SLE. I ve been on a low dose of prednisone for a month. The other night a blood vessel ruptured under my tongue and it freaked me out. This also happens in one of my eyes from time to time but never under the tongue, could it be from my Lupus or the prednisone?

The possibility of thrombocytopenia or infection or Vitamin c deficiency may present like this. Check it out platelet count, bleeding time and clotting time. Please consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.
