General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Betnesol is a steroid injection that is given to speed up the development of your baby's lungs. it is done as a precautionary measure in the event that you end up delivering earlier than term, which is a risk that is present with cervical insufficiency. It is usually given as two doses over 2 days.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Pranav Balakrishnan, General & Family Physician
