Is A Second Hole On The Penis Caused As A Result Of TURP?

I had a TURP on my prostate June 7. Before that I had been catherized for 2 months. After the turp in weeks 5-7 following it I had normal bleeding in my urine. Now I noticed in the last 2 weeks or so that urine comes out of my penus in 2 different streams ie 2 holes. I never noticed that before in my 70 years. What is/has happened?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

As per my clinical experience, urine flow in 2 streams does not indicate 2 holes in the urethra.

It is usually due to partial healing status of the underlying urethra after the surgery which takes sometimes a bit longer time as per the tissue specificity and individual characteristics of the personal healing power.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
