Is A Slight Fatty Change In Liver A Cause For Concern?

Hi my alt level us 109 and my ast level is 72 just had an abdominal ct. Dr said it showed slight fatty change in my liver but nothing out of the ordinary for a guy my size age 43 weight 255 5 10 1/2 . Recently aging the extra 50. He didn t seem worried should I be?? Will losing weight fix it repair the damage??

Thanks for posting in HCM.
Enzyme levels of the liver is little high when compared to normal. It might be due to initial stages of fatty liver, as your doctor has rightly suggested. It is always good for you to reduce weight. But, if you are smoker and alcoholic, you need to stop it completely. Also avoid oily foods. Keep a follow up by getting liver function test and ultra sound scan of liver every 6 months to make sure it is under control and not progressed.
