General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
I understand your concern.
Brown spots present on the toe of your husband need not be suspected that it could be melanoma. Melanoma often resembles moles.
Melanoma is a type of cancer that develops from the pigment-containing cells known as melanocytes.
To diagnose the condition, it needs a skin biopsy and its process by means of histopathology. Based on the histopathology report, it can be diagnosed and then treatment needs to be planned accordingly.
Kindly consult Dermatologist in this regard for clinical examination and advise.
Hope the information provided would be helpful.
All the best.
