Is A Small Lump On The Left Side Of The Neck A Matter Of Concern?

I have a small lump on the left side of my neck underneath the skin. Its not really visible and i feel no pain. I was straining prior to discovering it, so i assume there s room for concern. I was just wondering if i should be alarmed or if it s normal.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

* A small asymptomatic lump under the is usually lymph node of non-specific concern.

* If it becomes painful, red or increase in size with associated symptoms as fever, cough or else then should consult your GP otherwise just keep a check on its size and relax.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
