Is A Small Scrotal Rash In A 7-month-old Boy A Cause For Concern?
Our 7 month old grandson, has a small patch of red rash on his scrotum. It does not appear to be a diaper rash as he is rarely in wet diapers, as his parents use cloth diapers, and do elimination communication with him, which means he actually uses the pottie most of the time. Is it possible it could be eczema, as his mom has this skin condition.
this rash could be due to sweat collection due to the heat. the scrotal skin folds are prone to rashes in tropical countries. you could use flucos powder in that area for a week. also apply rashfree ointment or cosvate GM ointment at night. since it is limited to a particular area doesn't seem like eczema.
