Pathologist and Microbiologist 's  Response
Hello,

Surgery is the definitive treatment of colloid goitre.
Colloid goitre is not usually associated with abnormal thyroid functions, however, thyroid functions should be done.
In case the thyroid function tests are abnormal, appropriate management should be done.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shailja Puri, Pathologist and Microbiologist
