Is A Surgery Required For Aortobifemoral Bypass?

My doctor has advised that I may need aortobifemoral bypass but scared me with the risks involved. But dont think I will get any better without an operation. I am 63 years old, 4'10" and around 7 stone. I had a pulmonary embolism whilst having my 2nd child 27 years ago.

Hello,

There obstruction in the artery, probably total occlusion. It's a major surgery and has got the risk, but you need to take. Also discuss with your doctor, is there any possibility of Stenting.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
