Is A Surgery Required For The Growth Of Third Vertebrae Pressing The Disc?

My aunt is 33 years old and she cant feel her kegs.She can't walk properly.Doctor say that her 3rd vertebrae is growing and pressing the disk due to which their is pressure on the nerves thats y she can\t walk without support.She is now going to operate it. Should she do it?
