General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Let me tell you that head injuries can result in a scalp hematoma. As you see an egg-sized bump on your son's head, it is just due to the hematoma and hematoma is a sign that there is minor bleeding under the skin.

There is nothing to worry as the bump typically goes away after a few days.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Prabhash Verma, General & Family Physician
