Is A Very Thick Endometrium During Post Menopausal Stage A Cause For Concern?

Hi. My endometrium thickness is 15mm, confirmed with a ultrasound. I am 61 years of age, slightly obese, and had late menopause 55 years of age. Should I be concern? I did have pain in my lower left quadrant 3 months ago. Now I m having pain in my left side with also back pain. I feel exhausted all the time.

Hello,

Thick endometrium can be a predecessor of uterine cancer.

Consult a gynaecologist and get evaluated. You might require a D&C or frequent follow-up.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
