Is Ablation Safe For An Atrial Fibrillation Patient Despite Taking Diltiazem And Warfarin?

I am 53 year old female. I started having episode s of afib in 2009. At first it was a few episodes once or twice a month. Know I have episodes at least once a week...no matter what I do..it can trigger. I take diltiziam 60 mg every six hours, then I also take digioxin and warfarin, and atrovastatin for cholesterol. My cardiologist want me to do an ablation, I am scared it may cause more damage to my heart...I really don t know what else to do please advise.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
