Hi my mother in law is not well she had a problem of dementia so doc had started denap 5. But in her last check up doc has given her olimelt 2.5. Earlier she used to behave once in while like living in assumptions n being loud etc but after olimelt this prob has increased a lot in 2 days only I am really worried What if we stop giving her this medicine will it be harmful. I am concerned why this problem has increased suddenly after using olimelt earlier it was not like that.plz suggest.
I shall make an effort to provide you with good professional recommendations specific to your questions.
Olimelt is antipsychotic agent, I will not suggest you to stop the drug without consulting a doctor.
Remember that your doctor has prescribed this medication because he or she has judged that the benefit to you is greater than the risk of side effects. Many people using this medication do not have serious side effects.
It is less likely to produce the symptoms that she is presenting, so I will advice you to see your doctor for her examination and based on that one can decide about the change or stop off the drug.
Yet again, I duly appreciate your query to me, I do hope that have found something useful to help you and I shall be glad to answer any further apprehensions.
Sincerely,
I find this answer helpful
