Is Accidental Splashing Of Lidocaine Into The Eye A Cause For Concern?

I was helping a doctor suture a patient, when he pulled back on the syringe and lidocaine splashed off of the patient and into my eye. Pt has no past medical history of bloodborne illness, but the affected eye has been twitching (like small muscular spasms at the outer corner) since the time of the splash. Should I worry about this or will it go away on its own?

HI
Well come to HCM
I really appreciate your concern, if the local anaesthetic agent gone into eye (Lignocaine ) then it may exert the local effect of numbness for time being and nothing else and this is nothing to worry hope this information helps.
