Is Adding 5-HTP 100 Mg To Other Sleeping Pills Safe?

I am 62 years old & 6 months into being a widow. I was sleeping ok with melatonin and a 50 mg Equate sleep aid. Lately I can t get to sleep for at least an hour or two. My only prescription is Gemfibrozil-600 MG 2X daily. Is it safe to add 5-HTP-100mg per cap to my other sleeping pills?

Hello.
There should be no problem with the 5-HTP capsule with the medications you're taking. There should be no adverse interactions, but, as with any supplement, you should discuss it with your doctor before you take it.
